Elevator pitch

Most microservices struggle with brittle HTTP calls. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll build a decoupled system using Python and LavinMQ. You’ll learn to implement core AMQP patterns and handle real-world failures, leaving with a practical blueprint for building resilient, scalable services.

Abstract

Microservices often struggle when they rely too much on direct, synchronous HTTP calls. This hands-on workshop explores a more reliable alternative: building decoupled, event-driven systems using Python and LavinMQ.

We’ll build a distributed architecture from scratch, moving beyond the basics to implement production-ready AMQP patterns. You will get practical experience with Work Queues and Pub/Sub, while learning how to manage real-world failures using Dead Letter Exchanges and retries.
