Nikita Manohar Jibhkate

Nikita Jibhkate is a Senior Software Engineer at Bloomberg in London and an MSc student at University of Oxford. She specializes in scalable back-end systems, with a strong passion for creating scalable and performant distributed systems. As an avid open source advocate, she started as a Google Summer of Code Student Developer and has further contributed to Sigmah, FOSSASIA, and Systers, and mentored for GSoC, GCI, and RGSoC, supporting many aspiring developers, especially women in tech. Nikita belonged to Coursera Open Source and IEEE Women in Tech’s CybrosX, encouraging inclusion. She received the Grace Hopper International Student Scholarship and serves on review committees for GHC. Nikita organized the “Learn IT, Girl” mentorship program and has presented at GSoC Community Talks, Open Source Summit Latin America, Grace Hopper Conference, and meetups in Bangalore and London. She enjoys singing, reading, and new adventures.
